CULTIVATING BUSINESS & INDUSTRY IN

COLUMBUS COUNTY

WHO WE ARE

We are a group of business and civic leaders created the Columbus Jobs Foundation in early 2015 to highlight the attributes that make Columbus County an ideal location for business and industry. The Columbus Jobs Foundation works with county government to create local incentive packages for new business and industry. The Foundation also has a revolving loan fund to aid start-ups and entrepreneurs in Columbus County.

The Columbus Jobs Foundation owns and maintains the Southeast Regional Park, a 165-acre industrial park near Whiteville, NC with water, sewer, gas, rail and high-speed Internet access. U.S. 74-76 and Southeastern Community College are adjacent to the park.

TESTIMONY

"The Columbus Jobs Foundation is a key partner in our efforts to recruit industry to Columbus County. From hosting private dinners between prospective clients and local business leaders, to participating in critical-point negotiations, the Jobs Foundation is always there when I need help.  The Foundation members can simply make things happen at the speed of modern business. I can assure you that many of my economic development peers wish they had such a supportive group in their corner."

          - Gary Lanier, Ed.D. Director at Columbus County Economic Development Commission
